The old farmhouse which used to be called Netherclay, has been divided in two; Mr Woodman owns one half and 1 3/4 acres. Mr Bowditch the other half and the orchard. This cottage still retains the old well outside the door.

The latter cottage referred to above by R.A.Sixsmith is today known as Netherclay Cottage and the first cottage as Coldstream Cottage, the owner having been a member of the Regiment of the Coldstream Guards.
