The Parish Council Meeting was held in the Chapel at 7.30pm
PRESENT:
Mr M.M. Baddeley, in the chair, Mr D.G. Parsons, Mr S. Burgess, Mrs R. Clark,
Mr R. Pearse & Mr G.Salter.
IN ATTENDANCE:
Mr R Watson SCC Councillor, Mr D Grieg TDBC Parish Liaison Officer,
Mrs M Pearse, Parish Clerk and eleven parishioners.
APOLOGIES:
Were received from Mr M Newport and Councillor J Williams.
The Chairman opened the meeting by sending wishes for a speedy recovery to Mr M Newport.
PUBLIC QUESTION TIME:
Mr D Greig agreed to chase up the removal of a derelict car in Pattons.
The dead elms in the hedge appeared to be in Mrs Bowerman's and Baker's hedges - to be followed up.
The A358 and Park & Ride plans were aired yet again. Nobody knows enough to be specific and any plans already on the drawing board likely to be out of date or superseded.
The Chairman re-convened the meeting at 7.45pm
2005/01 THE MINUTES:
Having been circulated were taken as read and signed as correct by the chairman. Proposed by Mr G Salter. Seconded by Mr R Pearse.
2005/02 MATTERS ARISING:
1. Woodland Trust site now clear. Rachel Crump (HQ) instructed to secure fencing and clear rubbish. TDBC already asked to clear up bin liners. Millennium Stone confirmation that it is now PC property now received and Insurance company notified to that effect.
2. Inspection of the Play Equipment no reply as yet from Som PFA. Chase up - Mrs R Clark.
3. Policing The Neighbourhood. WPC Simmons been transferred to specialist duties for 6 months. Now in care of PC2647 Benjamin Hicks. Chairman to investigate
as promised more not less.
2005/03 CORRESPONDENCE:
1. Info re Licensing Laws.
2. Speed Camera Partnership meeting.
3. SCC road closure from Chapel to Mrs Madge's field gate for new drains (2 weeks).
2005/04 PLANNING APPLICATIONS:
37 2004 015 Presidents - 9 garages & Conservatories to add to existing plans already approved. For PCC
determination. Site visit arranged.
2005/05 PLANNING APPLICATIONS:
None.
2005/06 PARISH PLAN:
The proof of the questionnaire at the printers created from the original wish / hate lists. Drop in
event Saturday 5th February 11am - 3pm in the Village Hall.
Reminder of Photo competition closing date 1st March.
2005/07 FINANCE:
Cash at Bank 30th November 2004 = £1273.10. o/s cheque of £10.00.
To Pay: Chapel £20.00 - (2 meetings); Parsons £36.90. Proposed by Mrs R Clark. Seconded by Mr S Burgess.
The nest meeting was arranged for Wednesday 9th March at 7.30pm in the Chapel.
There being no further business the chairman closed the meeting at 8.38pm.
