The Parish Meeting was held in the Chapel at 7.30pm
PRESENT:
Mr M Baddeley, in the chair, Mr M Newport, Mr D Parsons, Mr R Pearse, Mr G Salter.
IN ATTENDANCE:
Mrs M Pearse, Parish Clerk, Mr J Williams TDBC Councillor plus seven members of the parish.
APOLOGIES:
Mrs R Clark, Mr S Burgess.
2004/ MINUTES:
The chairman offered condolences to the Parsons family following the recent
death of Mrs Betty Parsons. The minutes having been circulated were taken as read and signed as correct by the Chairman.
PUBLIC QUESTION TIME:
Gadds contributed to drainage scheme for centre of village. No-one seems to want
to know about who is responsible, was Wessex Water now Environment Agency. Neil
Pincombe (Highways) asked about the ownership of the field opposite Stoke Court
Farm - The Crown Estate. The chairman again requested historical information
regarding the sewage system in the village, there only being vague mumbles in
the minutes.
2004/ MATTERS ARISING:
The clerk requested written confirmation that the Millennium Stone belonged to the PC for it to be covered by insurance.
Play area inspection - no written report yet. Ask Mrs R Clark.
Parish Plan. Mr Vic Frier reported that the application form had now been completed with help from Val Granger and has gone to the Countryside Agency. It is anticipated a reply will be forthcomig in about two weeks. Money could be forthcoming from Countryside Agency, TDBC & SCC.

Cash at the Bank = £777.62
To Pay: Parsons Landscapes £79.24; Chapel £10.00
Grant for Play Area letter. Debbie Arscott to remove chipping and boards and lave level with afety matting - not this year. try again next year as no money spare.

Planning Meeting arranged for Wednesday 21st July in the Chapel.
2004/33 PLANNING DECISIONS:
None.
The next meeting was arranged for Wednesday September 8th 2004 in the Chapel at 7.30pm.
The A358/303 debate was aired yet again and it's effect on Stoke St. Mary. When further details published,
need village meeting? Part of Parish Plan? The village appears divided approx 50/50 into those who are very concerned
and those who are not.
There being no further business the chairman closed the meeting at 8.38pm.
