The meeting was held in the Chapel at 8.50pm immediately following the
Annual Parish Meeting

PRESENT:
Mr M Baddeley, in the Chair, Mr S Burgess,  Mr M Newport and Mr G Salter.

2006/18 ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN

Nomination - Mr M Baddeley
Proposer - Mr M Newport. Seconded by Mr S Burgess.
Mr M Baddeley re-elected.

2006/19 ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN

Nomination - Mr S Burgess.
Proposer - Mr M Baddeley. Seconded by Mr M Newport.

2006/20 ELECTION OF VILLAGE HALL REPRESENTATIVE

Nomination - Mr G Salter.

2006/21 THE MINUTES

Having been circulated were taken as read and signed as correct by the Chairman.

2006/22 MATTERS ARISING

PLAY AREA - Consideration to be given as to its future, some equipment though not dangerous needs to be replaced. Wait 'til after ROSPA report (in May/June 2006) to make decision, or relinquish responsibility to TDBC.
Why grass cuttings not taken away? - no apparent reason.
PLANNING TRAINING MEETING - quite interesting several TDBC represantatives present to answer queries. Mr M Newport attended.
VILLAGE CLEAN UP - The Clerk had been reminded of this event by Mrs Joan Hayden, but no-one volunteered so it was not done.
WARNING POSTS - round Mr Williams wall - Mr A Clark noted requests. No reply re Housing for OAP but planners indicated they were unable to assist at the early stages as requested.

2006/23 CORRESPONDENCE

1. ODPM Bylaws discussion paper - Chairman reading it.
2. House of Commons - Poster + info from Jeremy Browne MP.
3. TDBC recycling queries answered. "Sort it" should start in May, details to follow.
4. SCC - CCTV to be installed at Recycling depots to deter mis-use and aid safety.
5. Rights of Way meeting in September - attendees?
6. SCC new phone numbers again.
7. Corporate Strategy Details.
8. Alan Prime - new Neighbourhood Watch details.
9. Update of Tree Warden Scheme.
10. Defra - Dog Control Orders.
11. Postal Newsletter.
12. SCC Road Closure - Staple Fitzpaine at Badgers Street for 1 day.
13. Regional Spatial Strategy - update.
14. SCC questionnaire for Clerk, sent back POTHOLES.

37 2006 002 Thornwick Granny Annexe. Granted with conditions as requested.

Letter of thanks from Headmaster, Thurlbear School, for supporting their application for more car parking.

A list of planning complaints been sent from TDBC planners - 1 - Barn work before permission granted.
