The villages of
Stoke St. Mary, Thurlbear and Orchard Portman, Somerset, England.

The Tower seems not to have existed before 1540, and it may be inferred that it was built with bequests for its erection by John Portman of Orchard and by Thomas Ketter of Orchard, husbandman. The Font, Norman, is re-set with the upper part of the basin cut down and must originally have stood on the ground.
